A word from Kennedy on what inspired the Encanto styled shoot

“Disney’s popular movie, Encanto, charmed both children and adults with the fanciful tale, dynamic characters, and catchy songs throughout the film. It became an instant family favorite while it shot up the charts and won an Oscar for Best Animated Film in 2022. I, too, was inspired by the bright and colorful narrative that highlighted glimpses of Colombian culture. When thinking through the elements of the film, I wanted to design a vibrant shoot that accentuated the spirit of Encanto, but still make it relatable to todays brides planning their big day.

Lazy S Hacienda was the perfect choice to host the styled shoot. The shoot features a lively tablescape with all shades of the rainbow, Encanto-inspired cocktails and cuisine, and beautiful florals throughout. I loved working with all of our talented partners to recreate The Family Madrigal magic at Lazy S. Hacienda.

As we look ahead at wedding design trends, we are seeing bright and vibrant colors take precedence in table design, floral choices, and wedding attire. I encourage my clients to utilize bold pinks, electric blues, shades of orange and yellow, and everything in between to highlight their personal style and unique story.
