Megan and Ross are such sweet lil cuties and I had the easiest time celebrating them. Megan and I met through our service organization at Texas A&M, and I was sooo excited when she reached out to photograph her and Ross’s wedding! Megan is one of those sneaky people who seem quiet before you know them well, but is really a wildly funny, caring, intelligent, and genuine gal that you just instantly feel comfortable being around. I didn’t know Ross too well in college, but meeting him through their engagement session and wedding, it was clear that these two are truly a complementary pair. Enjoy a glimpse into this lovely DFW wedding day filled with full-belly laughs, gorgeous florals, deeply caring family & friends, sweet tears, and even the groomsmen getting iced!

Before Megan and Ross had their first look, Megan thought it would be fun to surprise the guys with a fun lil prank. An icing well done always hits, and this one shocked all the guys in the best way possible. Megan was a good ol’ sport and even drank one with them!

Bethel Rock’s land is truly something else, especially at sunset. It’s one of my favorite DFW wedding venues for sunset. The light that this venue gets is truly stunning and is a fantastic place for portraits, even outside of an event!

Megan loves cake, but her body does notttt love lactose. However, she is a gal who always has some emergency Lactaid in her back pocket for special occasions, and occasion could be more special than her first cake cutting?! These photos are truly a reflection of Megan’s personality and crack me up every time I see them. To this day, I think these will forever be some of my favorite cake cutting photos. She’s truly a (lactose-intolerant) icon.

David (my husband) is one of those guys who knows how to get down ~lowwwww~ and trust that he was out there dancing all night! Proof that he’s hella fun on the dance floor with Megan willing to dance up against his sweaty back. What a trooper.

It was so fun to have so many friends from our organization (shout out to Alpha Phi Omega <3333) celebrating with Megan and Ross. Look at our cute little family photo!!

And of course, no Aggie wedding would be complete without screaming the War Hymn as loud as possible. Gig ‘Em Ags!

I love shooting all kinds of weddings, but it is extra special when people I know personally trust me to photograph their wedding day. Having insight into the couple’s personalities outside of this big, pressure cooker of a life-changing event helped me to capture Megan and Ross as they truly are. Getting to know their loved ones and gaining everyone’s trust is crucial to making sure my images reflect their personalities and the reality of the day as true as possible.
My aim for every wedding I photograph? Discovering who my couples truly are and getting to know each other, so come your wedding day, we aren’t strangers, but friends. Someone you trust to be by your side helping you along all day, carrying around extra tissues for you, making sure you’re hydrated, or carrying your veil when you finally get tired of it.
Megan so kindly mentioned in their wedding’s feature over on Wed Society of North Texas’s page that “Allison could’ve been one of my bridesmaids because that’s how supportive she was. Not to mention, her energy is contagious. There’s no such thing as an awkward photo moment with Allison because she guides and hypes you through each picture.”
That is my goal with photographing your wedding. To make you feel seen, supported, understood, *and* gorgeous on your wedding day. If I sound like your cuppa tea, reach out and let’s get to planning that dream day of yours, friend! 💕
